NICK FURY & MARIA HILL Return for SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME

Yet according to Vulture, the Spider-Man sequel has just added Samuel L Jackson and Cobie Smulders to the cast list - so we know both characters survive the cull.

Michael Keaton, Zendaya and Marisa Tomei will reprise their roles in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

In a post from Vulture, the outlet confirms that both Jackson and Smulders will be reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Maria Hill, respectively. As for the Spidey sequel, it would appear that we're looking at a stacked cast indeed.

Iran's Foreign Minister Zarif: US will not stop Iran oil exports
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif branded as doomed to fail the United States attempt of stopping Tehran from exporting oil.

Though this may be a spoiler for anyone who missed out on Avengers: Infinity War and/or managed to click on this article without reading the headline, most are aware by now that Marvel's massive cross-over-palooza ended with the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) Infinity-snapping half of all life in the universe into a dusty ash-pile nothingness.

Fury and Hill's presumed resurrection is less surprising than the news that they'll be joining a Spider-Man film, and it gives us some very interesting hints as to what's to come for Peter Parker when he returns from the dust. We talked about how Far From Home appears to be ditching the Iron Spider suit in favor of the other suit that Tony Stark designed for Peter Parker, which could indicate that the movie takes place before the events of Infinity War instead of after Avengers 4. And, of course, there's always a chance that he could also turn up in the still-untitled Avengers 4. After all, this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe and there are crossovers all the time. How all of this plays out onscreen is still anyone's guess, but if you dig Jackson as Fury, get ready to see a lot more of him. Given the state that we saw the two in at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, I'd say their roles in Spider-Man: Far From Home are a step up.
