Moto Z3 with 5G Moto Mod launched: Price, full specifications, features

Neither Motorola and Verizon are announcing many details about the 5G Moto Mod, so it's all a mystery for now.

The Moto Z3 looks a lot like previous phones from Motorola, including the recently launched mid-range device, the Moto Z3 Play. Now that we have wrapped up the hardware specifications of the Moto Z3, let us move on to the 5G Moto Mod that has been made in partnership with Verizon.

In the U.S., the Moto Z3 comes only in Ceramic Black color and will be costing around $480 (approx Rs 33,000). The phone will cost $480 or $20 per month if you opt for 24 monthly payments. To compensate, the 5G Moto Mod has its own 2,000 mAh battery so it doesn't drain the Moto Z3's battery. Of course, that did not happen. In other words, the event was one very long Verizon commercial, hosted by Motorola who also happened to have a new device. As there is no Moto Z3 Force this year, the Moto Z3 is the successor to last year's Moto Z2 Force. Moto Z3 is splash resistant.

Numerous Z3 Play's hallmark features, like its dual-lens cameras capable of shooting in true black-and-white, as well as its 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display, return in the Moto Z3. The Z3 has an aluminium body with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass display just as the Z3 Play. The smartphone will be available in ceramic black color.

At the end of the day, there really are more questions than answers when it comes to 5G. The Moto Z3 runs on the older Snapdragon 835, which is a bit of a disappointment to say the least.

European Open: Richard McEvoy claims victory as Bryson DeChambeau struggles
Before Sunday he had won three titles on the Challenge Tour but victory at the highest level had eluded him. American Bryson DeChambeau has apologised for his behaviour at the end of the European Open in Germany.

First, the phone. It has a 6-inch AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot that can host cards up to 2TB. Likely to be backed by 3780 mAh battery, the Motorola One Power will give its users a stock Android experience.

There is no 3.5mm audio jack, but the company is providing a 3.5mm to USB Type-C adapter. The Moto Z3 comes with a side-facing fingerprint sensor and also support face unlock.

As part of the Android 8.1 Oreo update, the Moto G5 will enjoy "many enhancements including new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls, improved data saver and battery features, new power menu UI and Bluetooth improvements".

For photography, Moto Z3 offers a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a pair of 12-megapixel sensors. That can record up to 1080p 30fps video, and also has a variety of face filters and beauty filters. The front camera is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture and screen flash. It's not coincidental that the 5G Moto Mod won't be available until then at an undisclosed price. The 5G Mod will be powered by Qualcomm's X50 modem, capable of supporting 5Gbps transfer speeds. 5G Moto Mod is said to offer up to 10 times the speed of the current wireless technology as well as lower latency and higher bandwidth.
