A star-filled cast is being lined up for 'Cats' movie

The singer opted for a feline print mini skirt after it was revealed she'll join James Corden, Sir Ian McKellen and Jennifer Hudson in a movie remake of the musical Cats.

Hudson, who made her Broadway debut in the recent revival of The Color Purple, will take on the role of Grizabella, but the roles that Swift, Corden, and McKellen have been tapped for have not yet been announced.

Taylor Swift gave a nod to her new film role while stepping out in NY on Friday.

Working Title and Universal's much-discussed movie adaptation of the hit Cats musical has grown some sizeable claws.

Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Sharif were arrested in Lahore on July 13 on their arrival from London. He said the prosecution also failed to prove this assumption during the trial.

Deadline says Hooper has already been at work on the film for two years and will begin filming in the autumn.

"Cats", composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and featuring the classic musical ballad "Memory", opened in London in 1981 and originally was staged on Broadway from 1982 to 2000, the fourth-longest run in history.

The stage version of "Cats", which is one of the longest running shows in Broadway and West End history, follows a tribe of felines called the Jellicles over the course of one night as they decide which of their group will ascend to the "Heaviside Layer" and come back to a new life.

Working Title Films, who previously worked with Hooper on the hit 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables, will produce the Cats movie alongside Lloyd Webber. It's no surprise, then, that Hollywood is bringing Cats to the big screen - and the first additions to the cast are a suitably starry bunch.
