Expert Cave Diver Tells Elon Musk That His Submarine Sucked

Vern Unsworth, who played a significant role in the rescue efforts, wasn't particularly impressed with Musk's offer to help out and said, "He can stick his submarine where it hurts". In an interview with CNN on Friday, Unsworth, a cave explorer, said that the mini-submarine Musk sent to aid the rescue mission was just "a PR stunt". "It wouldn't have made the first 50 metres of the cave".

He added it was "just a PR stunt".

The tweetstorm was in response to a tweet from professor and New York Times writer Zeynep Tufekci, who wrote an op-ed arguing that Musk could learn a lesson about Silicon Valley hubris from the incident.

Immediately, Twitter users bombarded his account with requests to delete what appears to be an accusation of pedophilia.

The chief of the rescue operation also said that Musk's submarine was "not practical" for the mission. He then denied Unsworth's claim that Thai officials asked him to leave the cave site when he went there July 9, saying, "Thai navy seals escorted us in - total opposite of wanting us to leave". "He had no conception of what the cave passage was like", adding that the submarine "wouldn't have gone round any corners or round any obstacles".

"Never saw this British expat guy who lives in Thailand (sus) at any point when we were in the caves" he wrote.

"We will make [a video] of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo".

Former Napoli manager Sarri replaces Conte at Chelsea
Giroud became a key player for the Blues last season but the Sunday Mirror claim Sarri is prepared to let him go. The uncertainty over the managerial role at Chelsea is officially over.

He was involved in the rescue for the whole 17 days.

Dr Richard "Harry" Harris was the last member of the rescue team to leave the cave.

"Mini-sub is ready if needed".

Musk did call the other cave divers and rescuers "unsung heroes" in a different tweet.

Meanwhile the two Australians who helped in the global rescue of the Wild Boars soccer team were given diplomatic immunity in the event anything went wrong during the treacherous rescue.

Musk, the billionaire founder of Tesla and SpaceX, began directing the creation of a submarine (nicknamed "Wild Boar" after the boys' sports team) in the hopes of assisting the rescue effort.
