Houston model bitten by shark while swimming in the Bahamas

Unfortunately, one of the sharks wasn't as friendly as advertised...because it swam right up to Katarina and BIT her on the arm! Zarutskie encountered multiple complications and doctors believe there may still be "pieces of the tooth" lodged in her arm.

While she had her boyfriend's father taking the photos for her, she spilled: "I leaned back, and then that shark, he came and he bit down on my arm and pulled me under".

"Nurse sharks are calm creatures", she told BuzzFeed News, adding that she had seen many Instagram photos of other people swimming with the creatures. "They took the information they wanted and really spun the story in a way that I'm a stupid blonde Instagram model", she said.

Zarutskie got several stitches and was put on antibiotics, but she is recovering well after the random attack. She jumped into the water on her own, without any sort of tour guide.

Katarina made a decision to swim with a herd of nurse sharks at Staniel Cay - but things went wrong when a 5-foot nurse shark bit her arm and started to drag her under the water.

Sacha Baron Cohen trolls Trump, teases possible future project
In a recent interview, he signaled that he may be willing to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. Cohen is saying, this source adds, that he is "no longer taking a bullet for you ( Trump ), no longer a flunky".

According to reports, she went to a local clinic to get her arm wrapped and bandaged before flying back to Florida - where she studies in the University of Miami - to seek proper treatment as shark bites can be highly infectious.

Zarutskie knows it could have been worse.

Katarina Zarutskie went swimming with nurse sharks in the Bahamas. Still, at the end of the day, she said she's "fortunate that [she] still [has her] arm and [her] life".

Predictably, the ordeal resulted in a wave of hateful comments and behavior towards Zarutskie online. She's been taking various antibiotics to prevent infection from bacteria, and admitted that she's anxious about how this injury will affect her modeling career. While feeding a small group, Melissa Brunning was dragged into the water by her finger before breaking free.

"It happened so quickly", Brunning told 7 News. It clamped on it and it felt like it was shredding off the bone.
