Kylie Jenner Covers Forbes As The Next Youngest Self-Made Billionaire

The 20-year-old graces the cover of Forbes' August issue and the magazine estimates her current wealth at a whopping $900 million.

And let's not sleep on this, her momager Kris Jenner no doubt is set for a hefty chunk of the change.

There has always been rumors that Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics (the brand that launched the OG lip kit and a million copycats) was on its way to being a billion-dollar business, and now it appears that historic milestone is closer than ever. According to Forbes, she sold more than $630 million worth of makeup since its launch, including an estimated $330 million in 2017.

"Social media is an unbelievable platform", Kylie Jenner told Forbes in an interview released Wednesday.

Kylie's company Kylie Cosmetics is worth almost $800 million and she owns 100% of the company.

"Social media is an fantastic platform; I have such easy access to my fans and my customers".

The other $100 million of revenue comes from profits generated from her appearances on her family's reality show and other social media endorsements.

Forbes says she's "conservatively worth $900 million", and another year of growth will put her on track as not just the youngest female self-made billionaire ever, but the youngest self-made billionaire ever, period, beating out tMark Zuckerberg, who reached the billion-dollar mark at 23.

"We consider any person who built her own fortune, and didn't inherit the money, to be self-made", Forbes' methodology reads.

"Before I even refreshed the page, everything was sold out", Jenner recalled. I do feel like people don't take me seriously as a businesswoman because of my age and my reputation. "I don't want to do it with anyone else, '" Jenner said, adding that she used $250,000 of her savings from past modeling gigs to make her first 15,000 lip kits.

And not only that, but they also sat down with the Kylie Cosmetics maven for a short clip (above) where the new mom opened up about paving her own way. Using its standard formulation, Forbes values the company at $800 million, and Kylie is the sole owner.

Jenner's company only has seven full-time and five part-time employees.

"Maybe one day [I'll] pass this on to Stormi", she exclaims.
