Woman killed when helicopter crashes into Virginia home

WAVY-TV cited dispatchers reporting that a helicopter had crashed.

According to troopers, a 911 call was received around 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon for the aircraft crash into the Bristol Commons.

This is the terrifying aftermath of a helicopter crash in a residential area in the United States.

The crash occurred near the campus of the College of William and Mary, prompting an alert from the university, although the university stressed that it did not occur on William and Mary property.

In a Twitter message, the FAA described the helicopter as an R44.

It was not immediately clear who owned the aircraft.

Belgium captain Edin Hazard has warned his countrymen to be Warry of France's N'golo Kante, hailing him as the best in the world. The Belgian went further to name the countries that will make the first knockout rounds of the tournament.

The Red Cross is helping those displaced by the crash, and police are working to account for all homeowners and renters who lived in the building, Anaya said.

Brook Sweeney lives across the street from where the crash took place and told the Daily-Pilot the impact sounded like a auto crash.

Neighbors said in the midst of all of the trauma, they are grateful for the first responders.

Danylko's family said through Virginia State Police that the 91-year-old served as secretary to the president of the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) for many years. "I just heard a loud "bam" and the whole house was on fire", Sweeney said.

The FAA tweeted Sunday night that they and the NTSB would investigate to determine a probable cause of the crash.
