George Clooney reported hurt in motorcycle crash in Italy

George Clooney was quickly released from a hospital on the Italian island of Sardinia Tuesday after his scooter was hit by a auto, NBC News reported.

The 57-year-old actor, who is now filming a TV series on the Italian island, was understood to be driving to set when the incident occurred.

Local daily La Nuova Sardegna says Clooney's injuries aren't serious, but that he was taken to the John Paul II hospital emergency room.

"Catch-22" is slated to air next year.
