Unhappy Hamilton points finger at Ferrari's 'interesting tactics'

After a slow start which allowed eventual race-winner Sebastian Vettel to pass him, Vettel's team-mate Kimi Raikkonen collided with Hamilton at turn three, sending his vehicle off the track and leaving him last of 19 cars.

The German defeated second-placed Hamilton on Sunday to win the British GP in front of a partisan crowd and extended his lead in the Formula One championship standings to eight points after 10 of 21 races.

There was no stopping the four-time champion as he seized the lead at the start of the race and fought back after losing the initiative during two safety vehicle periods to register his second win at Silverstone and the 51st of his career.

"Things happen sometimes", added teammate Raikkonen, who had taken responsibility for the clash and accepted the time penalty he was handed. It was my mistake so that was fine.

Hamilton rushed back into the mix for a podium spot with the majority of runners picking a one-stop strategy until Marcus Ericsson lost control of his Sauber at Turn 1, and his fierce shunt into the tyre barrier brought out a lap 33 safety auto.

Bottas had held Vettel off on a number of occasions but the championship leader then pulled off a sublime late dive to the inside at Brooklands to force his way through (pictured above) and escape up the road, with Bottas then fading as Hamilton and Raikkonen also found a way through.

Shortly after, team boss Toto Wolff said: "First time we get taken out, now today is the second time we get taken out, that a lot of constructor points".

Google Duplex could eventually make its way into call centers
A new report from The Information states that the company is aiming for the technology to make its way to call centers as well. The idea of calling a customer service rep and not knowing whether you're talking to a robot or a human is a bit unsettling.

'To be honest before the race I was really very concerned about him.

"It's home base for Mercedes, Red Bull, Williams so you have to be quite strong at Silverstone".

Lauda, who won two of his three championships with Ferrari, said: "The accident was unfair basically because it's the second time a Ferrari hits us in the first corner and it's not amusing, but that's the way it is". Mercedes' errors cost both Hamilton and Bottas in the Austrian GP the week before when neither finished.

'Thanks to the team for supporting me and also the people in the background because yesterday I was a bit damaged, ' said Vettel.

"There is no way I can compete with new tyres", he said.

The Brit made it all the way through the field to finish on the podium at Silverstone, in P2, ahead of Raikkonen, but was not happy with how the start went.

When the Safety Car came in, Bottas surged clear while Hamilton defended from Verstappen before Carlos Sainz and Romain Grosjean collided at Copse, triggering another Safety Car.
