Robin Wright speaks about Kevin Spacey's sexual assault allegations for first time

He said: "The older I get, and the more I know, I feel very fortunate that something worse didn't happen".

"It was truly the great Robin Wright rallying", Clarkson told US show The Talk.

Claire Underwood has taken over the Oval Office for the sixth season of House of Cards - on and off screen.

The full interview is set to air on NBC's Today programme in the US.

After the now well-documented allegations against Kevin Spacey became public, 'House Of Cards' looked like it was finished - but it was Robin Wright who helped to save it for one more season. He was so great with me and was never disrespectful to me, so that's my personal experience.

Spacey said that he didn't remember the incident in question.

T20I Tri-Series final: Australia set Pakistan 184-run target
Australia kept the same side that delivered comfortable wins over Pakistan and Zimbabwe to be the first team to reach the decider. His departure brought Shoaib Malik in the middle and the two then put a partnership of 107 runs for the fourth wicket.

After Spacey was let go from the Netflix series, Wright's character Claire Underwood took on the role of Commander-in-Chief that was left by Spacey who played President Frank Underwood.

He wrote: "But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour".

Since October, Wright has distanced herself from the scandal, which saw multiple men come forward claiming that Spacey had inappropriately behaved towards them.

Wright denied ever witnessing anything that would suggest Spacey's alleged behavior was possible, saying, "We were coworkers, really". "I don't know how to comment on that", she admitted on Today, "but I think at that time, the shock was so intense all over the nation-for many reasons, many stories, many people-I think everybody felt it was respectful to back off".

"I don't even know how to reach him", Wright said. "I knew the incredible craftsman that he is".

"This is a bigger, broader issue, I think - which is seduction", Wright said.
