Tropical Depression Two forms over central Atlantic

The second tropical depression of this year's hurricane season has formed over the central Atlantic, CBS Miami reports.

Sustained winds are near 30 miles per hour with higher gusts and the depression is forecast to become Tropical Storm Chris either today or tomorrow, with gradual strengthening expected through Monday when it could reach hurricane strength well offshore.

On Saturday, Beryl will enter into an environment of much stronger vertical wind shear, which should weaken the storm system and allow it to degenerate into a tropical wave before reaching the Lesser Antilles. The expectations for movement and future weakening near the Lesser Antilles have not fundamentally changed from earlier in the day. "Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles [55 km] from the center".

The next names on the list are Beryl then Chris.

Police also recovered 140,000 rupees ($2,150) from the centre, which is located in Jharkhand's capital, Ranchi . A CHARITY HOME set up by Mother Teresa in India has been found to be selling babies for adoption .

Upper-level winds will become hostile well before the system approaches the Lesser Antilles this weekend. Meanwhile, a tropical depression formed in the afternoon off the U.S. East Coast. The area denoted in yellow east of the Caribbean Sea shows a concentrated area of t-storms associated with a small low pressure center.

On Monday, Colorado State University cut its forecast for named storms to 11, from the 14 it predicted in May.

This will give Beryl a rather short lifespan over the next few days and limits any significant threats for the Caribbean or Gulf of Mexico, despite the fact it is strengthening in the short term. The average Atlantic hurricane season produces 12 named storms of which six become hurricanes, three of them major. The depression is moving toward the west near 16 miles per hour.

Nearly on cue, just days after Philip Klotzbach and the Tropical Meteorology Project at Colorado State announced a decrease in the seasonal forecast for Atlantic tropical cyclone activity, we've seen two systems develop in the Atlantic.
