New York Attorney General Sues Trump, His Children & Trump Foundation

The New York attorney general has filed a lawsuit against President Trump and three of his children over what she says was "persistently illegal conduct" at the nonprofit Donald J. Trump Foundation, The Washington Post reports.

The lawsuit claims that the charity engaged in illegal political coordination with Trump's campaign, made multiple self-dealing transactions to benefit Trump personally and his business interests, and violated legal obligations for such nonprofits in NY.

Underwood's suit seeks to dissolve the Trump Foundation and collect almost $3 million in penalties.

Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump were also named in the lawsuit because they have been official board members of the Donald J. Trump Foundation for years. Schneiderman ordered the foundation to stop fundraising in NY. "I won't settle this case!"The sleazy New York Democrats, and their now disgraced (and run out of town) A.G. Eric Schneiderman, are doing everything they can to sue me on a foundation that took in $18,800,000 and gave out to charity more money than it took in, $19,200,000".

The U.S. has stationed combat troops in South Korea since the end of the Korean War and has used them in a variety of drills. The conference comes days after President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un held a historic summit in Singapore.

The suit also alleges that the Trump charity raised in excess of $2.8m "in a manner created to influence the 2016 presidential election at the direction and under the control of senior leadership of the Trump presidential campaign".

The foundation could not immediately be reached for comment.

Trump has already paid more than $330,000 in reimbursements and penalty taxes, Underwood said in the suit. "I won't settle this case!". She also asked that Trump be banned from heading any other nonprofits in NY for the next decade.

In a statement, Ms Underwood said Mr Trump had illegally instructed his foundation to provide support to his presidential campaign by using the foundation's name and funds it raised to promote the campaign. Underwood said she has sent letters to the Internal Revenue Service and Federal Election Commission for further investigation. The board, though, had not met since 1999, and Underwood asked that the Trump children be banned from serving as director of any NY nonprofits for a year. The AG's office wants the foundation dissolved.
