Rose McGowan indicted over possession of cocaine

Last month, it was ruled the case would be heard at trial by a grand jury, and on Monday, McGowan was indicted for one felony count of cocaine possession.

If convicted, McGowan faces up to a year behind bars, but her attorneys have vowed to fight the charge all the way. These charges would have never been brought if it weren't for her activism as a voice for women everywhere. "I assure you, this selective prosecution will be met with a strong defence".

The charges stem from an incident on January 20, 2017, when McGowan's wallet and two bags were allegedly found by a cleaning crew on a United airliner at Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., according to the New York Daily News. The items tested positive for cocaine. Her trial will be set later on Tuesday.

McGowan says she is being targeted because of her advocacy against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. This is a warrant out of my arrest in Virginia.

Court documents obtained by the website say that " not having a relationship with their father is harmful " to the six children. He is responsible for returning them back to Jolie in London on July 29, and, he must pay for their transportation.

He has denied all accusations. The crew who cleaned the United Airlines plane following her flight found her wallet.

Defense attorney Jessica Carmichael argued, however, that there was not enough evidence to prove McGowan's guilt, pointing to inconsistencies among witnesses as well as the hours that passed between the flight's landing and the wallet's discovery.

She reacted quickly with a tweet in which she charged that "they" were trying to get her to keep quiet about claims she had made about Weinstein's sexual misconduct with her.

McGowan told Farrow she has used drugs in the past, but said marijuana was her "jam".
