E3 2018: Anthem Trailer + Release Date

EA is once again separating itself from the crowd by holding its own EA Play event at the Hollywood Palladium ahead of E3 2018.

Anthem is promising the ability to not only cosmetically personalize the "Freelancer" pilot you play as, but also the Javelin that you fly around the world in.

Here's a look at the biggest reveals from EA's presser. They have taken a step back, overhauled the progression and changed all loot boxes to cosmetic items only, adding a new hunt mode which has been hugely popular so far, and are now in the process of updating the squad system to improve they way the game is played. We know it's on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, so we're expecting to see some playable demos to get our hands on. Federation Internationale de Football Association 19 will be available on September 28th, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. It has also released a new cinematic trailer for the title.

After the trailer was revealed, it was told by the developers that game is to be a "live game".

While the release date was perhaps all we needed, there still wasn't a whole lot showing BioWare's signature style on the Destiny-like title - which may prove worrying to some. No end date for the trial has been announced, but players can enjoy the game for a limited time, today. For example, the Colossus specializes in heavy weapons and can take out large groups of enemies.

Battlefield 5 will be another big game featured during EA Play, whiel Respawn Entertainment have also teased that one of their new projects will be teased during the show. Single player and multiplayer should both be getting equal focus, though if we're honest it's the multiplayer that keeps people coming back every time. These exosuits, called Javelins, will be available in four different varieties suited to different playstyles, and users will be able to cycle between them at will.

Finally, EA confirmed that players will not have to worry about monetization in this upcoming release.
