Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Announced by From Software

Unless From Software pops up again during Sony's E3 2018 press conference to explain how Bloodborne 2 is on its way, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is likely the only game we'll be getting from the Souls developers during E3 2018. A slick new trailer for the game was shown during the Xbox briefing, showcasing brutal combat and swordplay. The trailer offered barely anything to latch onto, but FromSoftware's fans who enjoyed previous games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne don't need much to get them hooked.

It's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and it takes place in some sort of feudal Japan setting. I, for one, and glad to see an original From Software game rather than a sequel.

Sekiro is a new IP created by FromSoftware, which will be published by Activision. The game will also feature vertical traversal, as the warrior will be able to use a grappling hook function based on the trailer and take part in head-to-head battles.

And of those 10 seconds, we don't really see anything aside from a vast landscape - but boy does it look impressive! You can play the game solo, but with multiplayer as an option - open world, survival, and every person is real.

We're sure to find out more this week at E3, including what the heck you're fighting for.

It's being published by Activision and it is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC, though it made its debut during the Xbox conference at E3.
