First Lady Melania Trump remains hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after having what White House officials said was a successful procedure Monday to treat a benign kidney condition.

President Donald Trump provided a brief update on his wife's health Tuesday, tweeting, "Our great First Lady is doing really well".

Mrs. Trump, 48, had what is being called an "embolization procedure" to treat what the White House said is a "benign kidney condition", according to a release from the first lady's communications director Stephanie Grisham.

"I want to start by saying that Melania is in the hospital doing really well", Trump said during the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service.

She spent the first night [last night] of many to rest and be more closely monitored.
