Jack Wilshere NOT included in Gareth Southgate's England World Cup squad

Gareth Southgate isn't due to announce his final 23-man England squad for the 2018 World Cup until Wednesday afternoon, but it's been leaked today that Joe Hart will nearly certainly not be part of it.

Gareth Southgate, The England National Team Coach seems to have made up his mind on the players he will be boarding the plane with to the World Cup in Russian Federation.

His last appearance for England was the last-16 loss to Iceland at Euro 2016 while he had to pull out of the squad for the recent friendlies with the Netherlands and Italy due to injury.

Shelvey has impressed in the middle of the park for the Magpies this season, helping them survive in the Premier League following promotion a year ago.

It was first reported that the Manchester City goalkeeper, who has spent the season on loan at West Ham, will be left out of the squad on Tuesday.

No big progress on Brexit since March - EU's Barnier
He went on: "The prime minister in her Mansion House speech gave plenty of indications of how we will deal with the problems that [Ms Thornberry] describes".

Southgate submitted a 35-man preliminary list for his World Cup names on Monday, with the final 23-man selection to be announced on Wednesday. He regained his place after a 4-1 defeat at Swansea in March, but there were subsequent high-profile errors against Burnley and Stoke. Southgate is expected to select Phil Jones, John Stones and Harry Maguire as centre-backs, with Kyle Walker and Eric Dier also capable of playing there.

While the inclusion of Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek, so impressive on loan at Crystal Palace this season and on senior worldwide debut against Germany last November, will not constitute a surprise, Delph's recall had been unanticipated despite his claiming he was "quietly confident" of selection.

"What is Gareth Southgate going to learn about him?"

"Taking a young kid to go there and experience that I think is a much better way to go".

The decision of course has surprised many football fans as the star was expected to be named together with Jack Butland and Jordan Pickford for the tournament since he was England's first choice throughout the qualification campaign.
