Four suspects were arrested during the All Progressives Congress Imo State botched congress on Saturday. Senator Magnus Abe (APC-Rivers South East) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the crisis now rocking the Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC).

Names of the suspects were given as: Ikpamezie Innocent, 39; principal suspect and Special Adviser on a electoral matters to Hope Uzodinma; Lawrence Archibong, 34, Kelechi Affonne, 27 and Joseph Martins, 28. The suspects, who were paraded at the Force Headquarters by Mr Jimoh Moshood, Force Headquarters' spokesman, were picked up in a hotel located in Wuse 2 area of the Federal Capital Territory.

"All the suspects admitted and confessed to the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the crime". All suspects will all be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.

There were instances of parallel congresses at both the ward and local government congresses held by the party.

The Chairman of the panel, Alhaji Sani Dododo, who addressed reporters after submitting his report to the party's NWC, alleged that the secretary of his panel connived with unknown persons to make away with 100 result sheets.
