Fulham end play-off hoodoo to reach Championship final

Having struggled to break down Derby in the first leg, Fulham demonstrated why they are unbeaten at home since October with a display full of flowing, attacking football.

Teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon scored once and created another as Fulham edged closer to a Premier League return Monday with a 2-0 win over Derby County in their Championship playoff.

Fulham, who have only lost twice since December 16, will now meet either Aston Villa or Middlesbrough at the national stadium on May 26 and are 90 minutes away from a first return to the Premier League since 2014.

Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, beaten by Jerome's strike in the 34th minute, believes his side will overcome the one-goal deficit and progress to the final.

The defeat marked the second time in three seasons that the Rams have fallen at this stage and the former Birmingham and Burton manager said that his side's decision making was to blame.

The decisive goal came in the 66th minute when Belgian Odoi beat Carson with a brilliantly angled header from a corner.

Salma Hayek calls for male stars to take pay cuts for equality
She spoke Sunday at a conference at the Cannes Film Festival in support of the fight for gender equality, Reuters reports . She believes the industry could have acted sooner to form the #MeToo movement: "We should have been angrier sooner".

"Odoi is unmarked, so it's incredibly disappointing and it means that we haven't done our jobs properly".

Carson then had to be alert to tip Aboubakar Kamara's effort over the bar before the keeper produced an incredible point-blank save to keep out Mitrovic's close-range header.

"To get to half-time at 0-0, we felt that we had to step out a bit more and be more proactive".

"They were two very, very poor goals for us to give away". But for us, we've got to use that disappointment to look at things we need to do better.

The teen is often centre of attention but said: 'I just try to play my own game.

"If we look at the season as a whole, in some ways, numerous things that have disappointed us in the season have just cost us tonight".
