Lenovo Z5 sketch with almost 100% screen-to-body ratio revealed

Lenovo is reportedly working on a fully bezel-less smartphone to break away from the new trend of shipping smartphones with a notch. The Lenovo Z5 is truly all-screen.

A new teaser posted on Weibo gives us a peek into the design of the phone. He had previously stated that the company has managed to include a comprehensive screen on its next flagship phone by reducing the space taken by camera, bezels and antenna bands. A photo was shared by Lenovo's mobile group product manager Chang Cheng on the Weibo social network which shows the upcoming Lenovo Z5 and the users were quick enough to notice the absence of a notch or significant bezels.

The Lenovo's VP did not disclose which were the technologies the engineers used to achieve the frames and notch removal. The presence of antenna bands on the left edge of the phone suggests that it may feature a metallic chassis. While Lenovo is not talking about the hardware inside the Z5, it is nearly certain that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which nearly all high-end Android phones use.

Also, it has been said that the Lenovo Z5, which could be the first phone in the world with a screen-to-body ratio of 100%, will be unveiled at an official launch event which was already scheduled for June 14th. It is also likely to come with at least 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, dual-camera setup and and features like fingerprint scanner. Further, Lenovo Z5 is rumoured to come with a flip-up selfie camera and in-display earpiece. The fingerprint sensor could have easily been placed at the back but, rumours claim the smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company tried selling ZUK phones in China recently but it did not receive a good response from the masses.
