Assistant support coming to Xiaomi's smart home products, U.S. launch soon

Xiaomi has always been rumored to be bringing its smartphones to the U.S. Now, it appears that its smartphone plans have taken a back seat as it is now working to bring Xiaomi smart home products to the U.S. "The initial selection of compatible products includes Mi Bedside Lamp, Mi LED Smart Bulb and Mi Smart Plug, which will be coming to the U.S soon!" It has a claimed 16 million colour customisations and, thus, can be configured for different environments, moods, or user preferences. All three products can be controlled via Google Assistant. This pairing up of Xiaomi smart home devices with Google Assistant will give users the opportunity to control them through a smart speaker, such as Google Home, or with the Google Assistant app.

One of the most useful parts of Google Assistant, especially on Google Home, is smart home control.

The Mi LED clever Bulb also supports 16 million colors. Employing Wi-Fi, the Mi Smart Plug enables users to switch power off and on apparatus employing a program or users may simply ask the Google Assistant to control their newly-converted smart gadgets.

The United States market is already familiar with the Xiaomi brand, even if phones are yet to reach the country. According to the research firm Canalys, smartphone shipments in Europe dropped 6.3% in the first-quarter this year.
