Some journalists there have grumbled about his friendly interviews with Trump.

Hannity sought to downplay that revelation Monday night on his Fox News show.

"Michael Cohen never represented me in any legal matter", he said.

Kimmel slammed Hannity's claim that his legal discussions with Cohen never involved a third party. Hannity didn't have to say he was a client of Cohen's because it's possible the dude is just conflating who he considered a client and who he didn't (three clients are better than two, I suppose). Or I was looking for input and perspective.

"My discussion with Michael Cohen never rose to any level that I need to tell anyone I was asking him questions", Hannity said. Smith, in an interview in March, said the network's prime time commentators "don't really have rules", prompting Hannity to call him "clueless" and to declare his own show "REAL NEWS". "I should know because I'm Michael Cohen's fourth secret client".

Wood allowed prosecutors to proceed with the cataloguing of evidence, including multiple electronic devices, that was seized in raids while a system is set up to ensure that records protected by attorney-client privilege aren't disclosed to investigators.

The record is actually a bit curvy.

On his show Monday night - and on his radio show earlier in the day - Hannity made the case that he was entitled to his right to privacy and that he had assumed his conversations with Cohen were confidential. So, did Hannity pay a nominal fee or nothing at all?

The biggest headline story to start the week has been the reveal that#Fox News host#Sean Hannity is a client of #Michael Cohen, the disgraced lawyer of Donald Trump.

As important as Hannity's explanations may be, the word of his employer matters far more.

Co-host Joe Scarborough also chimed in, saying "This leaves a very big problem for Sean Hannity and Fox News", citing the hypocrisy of Hannity's reporting, most notably his accusing of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of being a "crime family" while he's been hiding his link to a controversial lawyer.

Monday's hearing before U.S. District Court Judge Kimba Wood in NY was about what should happen to seized material from Cohen.

This isn't the first time Carrey has illustrated the right-wing host. But the notion of an accidental attorney is a legal absurdity. Does Fox News believe there's an issue here? Sekulow has been a frequent guest on Hannity's Fox show.

The courtroom disclosure about Hannity occurred during the expanding criminal investigation into Cohen by the US attorney's office in Manhattan.

"Now, we can see that Hannity wasn't just mad, he was scared", Noah said. What do you think about this? It's safe to say he will stay defiant, lashing out at critics and questioning their political motivations - essentially the formula that has made him a multimillionaire.

"Among those on the list was our friend, Sean Hannity in the hour after ours". Has he pulled a George Stephanopoulos? "This has been a very weird day in the news", MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said during her show, which airs opposite Hannity.

On Monday, Hannity continued to deny he had ever hired Cohen but also appeared to contradict his "handed him 10 bucks" line. They never have and frankly they never will.

"I understand he doesn't want his name out there, but that's not enough under the law", Wood said. They exchanged insults on Twitter, with Hannity calling Kimmel a racist, pervert and "Harvey Weinstein jr." and Kimmel making a gay sexual innuendo in reference to Hannity's apparent love for Trump.
