Israeli soldiers wound 3 Palestinians along Gaza border

Construction work can be seen on the Israeli side of the border with the Gaza Strip, Israel March 18, 2018.

Following the discovery and destruction of the longest and deepest terror tunnel extending into Israeli territory, over the weekend, the IDF revealed a new "laboratory", where it employs advanced technology to detect tunnels, The Times of Israel reported Sunday.

Israel destroyed the tunnel - which it said connected to several others within Gaza and could have been used for attacks - by filling it with material to make it inoperative.

He said Hamas, which runs the Gaza Strip, began building it after the 2014 war between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza, including Hamas.

They hope it will discourage new digs but worry it could prompt terrorists to preempt the razing of any existing passages by using them for attacks. Hamas did not comment.

The tunnel crossed into Israeli territory by several yards but did not yet have an exit point, military spokesman Jonathan Conricus told journalists. "That's really how we find a tunnel".

Comey writes that Trump is "ego-driven and about personal loyalty", going on to compare him to a mafia boss who demands loyalty. So far, 19 people — including Flynn and Trumps former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort —have been charged in the investigation.

Some military sources hypothesized that the recent Hamas-led riots in the area were orchestrated to divert attention from the tunnels, reflecting the terror group's complete military and political control of Gaza.

The laboratory is the technological branch of tunnel detection, and it uses innovative ground research, which includes scanning of cavities and their dynamics, added the IDF.

A video release showed soldiers, with faces obscured, poring over maps and computer screens at an undisclosed location.

Hamas Movement has threatened Israel of organizing an unprecedented march towards the Gaza borders on the anniversary of the Palestinian exodus (Nakba Day), which falls on May 15 each year.

Some 31 Palestinian rioters have been killed on the border in recent weeks.

Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said that Israel is now the "world leader" in defending borders.
