Naldo goal seals Schalke win over rivals Dortmund

The Belgium global reportedly left the Veltins Arena on crutches.

Coach Domenico Tedesco celebrated with fans in the stands.

Following Borussia Dortmund's 2-0 defeat to local rivals Schalke in Sunday's derby, forward Marco Reus has issued a rallying cry to the club to finish the season in a UEFA Champions League place at all costs.

Reus did manage to test Fahrmann on 67 minutes after Schalke survived a penalty appeal when Christian Pulisic went to ground, and the United States of America worldwide fizzed a first-time shot over the bar four minutes later from the German's cross.

Allies keep Syria options open as Britain says no strikes planned
The strikes suggest that Trump may have reset America's red line for military intervention in Syria over the use of chemical weapons.

Second-half goals from Evgen Konoplyanka (50) and Naldo (82) handed Schalke their 16 win of the league season which sees them 20 points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

An unmarked Thilo Kehrer should have hit the target with a header from a terrific Caligiuri set-piece delivery, but, after Konoplyanka whipped a shot narrowly wide of the far post after cutting in off the left wing, the half ended goalless.

A tame 66th-minute Reus effort caused no problems for Fahrmann as Schalke, without Matija Nastasic because of an injury that could rule the Serbia centre-back out of the FIFA World Cup, held firm.

Batshuayi appeared to roll his left ankle following a challenge from Schalke's Benjamin Stambouli, before being stretchered off deep into added time as Dortmund finished the contest with ten men.
