Nain Dominguez, 2, died hours after he was found, police said.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said that was who reported Dominguez missing.

Investigators did not provide details about where the boy was found or the nature of his injuries. A 2-year-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert Saturday night has died, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

Biridiana Dominguez, the boy's sister, told Denver7 that the child "brought a lot of joy to our family". He was last seen with that sibling around 5:45 p.m. near Stratmoor Valley Park at 1215 Forest Road in southern Colorado Springs.

Britain lawmakers call for postponing European Union exit date
Legal text agreed with backstop agreement; the intention is for a close agreement so as not to have to fall back on this. This will allow vital negotiations on future EU/UK trade relations to get under way in earnest.

The alert was canceled shortly after 7 a.m. on Sunday when the boy was located near the spot where he originally went missing.

Authorities initially described a white panel van with no rear windows as a possible suspect vehicle, but later determined through witness interviews that the van was not involved.

An investigation into circumstances around the boy's disappearance continues.
