New York Giants among teams in the hunt for Nate Solder

First up, the Patriots. The latest is that the Pats are still interested in the tackle but will likely want him to accept less money.

Prior to the acquisitions they made recently, it would have seemed impossible that the Browns could sign a player like Solder away from the Patriots, but they have something interesting brewing there.

As of Wednesday morning, just hours before the official start to free agency, the Giants and Houston Texans are considered the favorites to land Solder, with some reporting the Giants are offering upwards of $14 million per year. They have about $61 million in cap space available.

The Browns need a decision from Thomas as soon as possible or they could miss out on one of the top linemen on the market.

Selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Ohio State product has spent his entire career in New England.

McWhorter also allegedly admitted the men threw a PVC pipe bomb through the window of the clinic, but the device failed to go off. The FBI is not commenting on any possible local ties to Minnesota, but leaders at Dar-Al Farooq hope a larger message remains.

This will be the second two-year pact Ebner and the Patriots have agreed to. Expect the Patriots to be proactive in re-upping one or both of those guys if Solder does walk. Needless to say, the Browns are looking to stay active throughout free agency and the 2018 NFL Draft as well.

The Browns can probably offer Solder more money than anyone involved in acquiring him at this point... He is considering retirement in after 12 seasons in the National Football League, and is waiting on the Brown's attempt to sign Solder. It was believed he would come back and that's the indication the Browns are giving out.

"I think the future is really bright", Thomas said.

But the Browns look completely different this year and might actually have a chance to compete (?!?).

In addition to growing his popular ThomaHawk Show podcast, which he co-hosts alongside former Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, Thomas has reportedly auditioned for broadcasting roles with national media outlets this offseason - something he didn't deny to WKYC last week.
