Rapper Craig Mack dies, age 46

Rapper Craig Mack best remembered for his 1994 hit Flava In Your Ear died at age 46 of heart failure on Monday night.

Mack's death was confirmed by a number of the MCs, DJs, and producers who knew him, including Biz Markie, Funkmaster Flex, and DJ Scratch.

Mack's producer Alvin Toney confirmed his death; the rapper died of heart failure at a hospital close to his home in SC on Monday night.

Mack was from Long Island in NY and signed with P. Diddy's Bad Boy record label. "Flava In Ya Ear" gave the label its first platinum single while a subsequent remix featured an early appearance from Notorious B.I.G. He was filmed decrying his former life as "wickedness", but did release an album in 2017, The Mack World Sessions.

One of the problems hampering development was the stigma associated with conducting research in this field, Mellon observed. He said they followed the "proper process" to get the video and that "the Department of Defense approved the release".

Mack eventually left Bad Boy and went on to release more music that never charted like his debut success.

"I just got a disturbing phone call", read Scratch's Instagram post. It contained the single Flava in Ya Ear, the remix of which reached the US Top 10 thanks in part to an all-star cast of guest rappers: the Notorious BIG, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Rampage.

Toney said: "God bless my friend. It was something I wanted people to enjoy, but it was cut short because he was very religious and wanted to go to church". "He was a good friend of mine", Toney told the Daily News. He wasn't scared. He was ready'. He just reached out a couple of weeks ago for me to speak on his documentary about his life. "He was ready." Craig leaves behind a wife and two adult children, according to the producer. Because Craig was my [roadie] on tour.
