Joy Behar of 'The View' Apologizes for Christianity Comment

Behar made the remarks in February after former White House aide Omarosa Marigault Newman disparaged Pence during a reality show appearance, mocking him for thinking Jesus spoke to him. "I sincerely apologize for what I said".

Joy Behar of "The View" is apologizing for comments she made for equating people's claims that Jesus Christ talks to them to mental illness. "Specifically, do you think, like Mrs. Hostin and Mrs. Behar, that the Christian faith is akin to a unsafe mental illness?" "I did encourage her, and I'm still encouraging her, to use the form of that program or some other public forum to apologize to tens of millions of Americans who were equally offended", he said.

Pence criticized Behar's comments a day later. But Vice President Mike Pence couldn't handle the joke.

Behar said Tuesday she'd been raised to respect all faiths and that she fell short of that last month. "She called me. She was very honest, and she apologized".

Pence reportedly told Behar she should apologize to Christians during a private phone call, but the vice president doubled down on Fox News and apparently "The View" co-host took notice. Iger revealed in his response to that question that Behar had personally apologized to Pence. However, the Vice President made it clear that he wasn't offended out of self-concern but on behalf of the millions of Christians who watch The View. He also expressed his wishes during that time that ABC, which is owned by Disney, to be associated with a television program that airs religious intolerance.

The new deadline hasn't been announced as the apex court is yet to pass judgement on existing Aadhaar related cases. The Supreme Court might probably give a new deadline when it decides on whether the Aadhaar Act is illegal or not.

The apology was reportedly confirmed by Fox News.

As of Thursday, Behar had not publicly apologized to Pence on "The View".

Iger responded by saying, "I don't know where I start".

McCain added that she has sometimes felt that "liberals say, "We need to be tolerant of everyone" except prolifers, except Trump supporters, except gun owners, except for everyone in the red in the middle of the country".
