Authorities: Florida man tried to electrocute pregnant wife

Sparks were flying in one of the strangest domestic violence cases a Florida sheriff said he has ever seen after deputies say a man tried to electrocute his wife by wiring the front door of his home.

This is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges are pending.

Ashley Wilson, 29, told examiners after his capture that she petitioned for separate December 6 and that he had been focused on a psychological well-being office toward the finish of November, as per the paper.

Sonogram photos were found on the kitchen table, and the bedroom contained love letters written on sticky notes, as well as a photo album of Wilson and his estranged wife together.

Michael Wilson, 32, of Palm Coast, planned to cause his better half extraordinary substantial mischief with the booby trap, specialists said. She said his behavior changed and at the end of November he was placed in a mental health facility under the state's Baker Act.

She said she also secured a gun and two smart cameras that could be viewed on her cellphone for her safety, according to the report. So she invited him to Knoxville while visiting family for Christmas.

She told agents she got him a room at a lodging and he arrived December 21 yet left without clarification two days after the fact. But he left early December 23 without explanation.

The woman told deputies she spoke to Wilson the next day who said he had went to OH to visit family, but deputies said he was seen in Tennessee.

Police were alerted after a call from Wilson's father-in-law, Jon Flositz.

When Wilson returned to Tennessee, his wife remembered him telling her to make sure she used the front door because the garage door was not going to open, according to a report. She then contacted the Flositzes about her concerns.

Appointees went to the home Tuesday because of a 911 call from Wilson's dad in-law.

Wednesday a detective also discovered Michael Wilson recently changed his Facebook profile to "widowed".
